My Strategy To Monetize Image Search Traffic

Google image traffic is really hard to monetize first visitors from these traffic sources are mostly interested in images so they hardly click on your little ads so you get horrible ctr but the numbers from image traffic are really big one so it makes sense to think about monetizing these sources.

My Strategy to monetize these traffic sources.

Attempt 1 (PPC Ads Failed)

One of my blogs was getting good number of hits from image searches first i thought of using ppc ads but i didn't got any success with it people come and go but they don't click on ads as if they were blind folded they visit my blog and download images or hit back button only left me think what's happening.

Changed Some Settings ( Little But No Success Either)
Image ads worked bit better then ppc but i put large banner just next to the image along with one banner on the top and one at the bottom overall i created a window of ads around the image but this trick performed better then the other one but it was a slight success got some little ctr hike but nothing what i can boast off.

Affiliate Program ( A Big No)

I don't know why i gave affiliate program a shot i  know from beginning that it won't convert but that's what happened i didn't get any sales.

Things That Worked

Cpm Ads (Worked Great :))

Cpm ads worked liked charm very effective as it doesn't based on clicks but on pageviews so it performed really well with my wallpaper blog but i do have to try a lots of cpm ad network as most of them rejected my application due to lack of content but what to say i had a wallpaper site so it doesn't have much content.

Finally got approved with clicksor, currently it's the best cpm ads network right now and it's really easy to get approved by them even if you have much less traffic.
