I was at digitalpoint forum last sunday some webmaster put up a good insight on ad getting relevant with yahoo publisher network(YPN). From long time ypn has been criticize for serving non relevant ad but now it seems that publishers are getting more relevent ads.

With more relevant ads ctr on ypn has increased but at the same time cpc has decreased which have sadden YPN users but i don't it's bad as relevant ads are more important then cpc after all when advertisers get more better ROI they will invest more on ypn ads which in turn increase the competition between advertisers for their space and in the long run it will boost the cpc automatically.

Relevancy Doesn't Comes Only With Technology

No, matter how much technology is used it's hard to get relevant ads when your advertisers inventory is small lots of people use google to advertise their business they have bigger ad pool which makes them more relevant since they have ads for every business.

Just like google adsense YPN has also recently launced smart ad pricing

Yahoo ceo said that this will improve overall experience of publishers, advertisers and the users, advertiser will yeld better traffic with more ad relevancy and with smart pricing they will spend less and get more.
