Does User Interaction Affects Your Site Ranking?

Today i came across an interesting discussion on webmaster world where one webmaster questioned that if he gets 1000 likes on his post will google will boost his seo rankings.

1: Google always said that if a content is good it will generate likes and thus more people will likely to link to it which will help that content to rank higher in the serps.

but as we all see social signals do affect our real time search you might have noticed that if you are searching and your friend has +1 a post it will appear more earlier compared with the other post.

When social media was introduced it seen that google have been trying to implement some data in improving their search result and making their search result more realistic then algorithmic,

So What Google Is UpTo? Will Backlinks Going To Be Replaced By Social Signals

There is a video which will give you some hint

As matt cutts has said in this video they do uses twitter and facebook likes in account but currently their influence is not much larger.

In Short, links are still powerful metrics of ranking your website and it doesn't seems to fade away right now as far as facebook likes and tweets are concern they can be manipulated you can easily find some freelance seos selling facebooks likes on fiver for just 5$.
